Bethany Davis

Biography

Bethany Davis is director of Flight Capabilities Innovation in the Advanced Flight Deck department with Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation. Bethany manages a cross-functional team responsible for developing new strategies and future flight deck technologies. Additionally, she leads the business implementation for new technologies, collaborating with suppliers, legal, procurement, and sales organizations.

In her previous role as program manager for avionics and connectivity systems, Davis lead the development team for design, certification, and in-service evaluation for the new Jet ConneX (Ka-band) wifi system. She also lead the team which aligns the introduction of cabin technologies across the Gulfstream fleet.

Prior to joining Gulfstream as a sales engineer in 2011, she was a corporate pilot flying part 135 special missions and air ambulance for Phoenix Air Group. As part of the Fulbright Scholarship sponsored by the U.S. Department of State, she was an operations analyst for Volaris, a Mexican airline located in Mexico City. Davis also worked in Lockheed Martin’s Advanced Development Programs “Skunk Works” as an engineering intern.

She speaks fluent Spanish and holds pilot type ratings for Gulfstream, Learjet and Citation aircraft as well as ratings for airline transport pilot (ATP), certified flight instructor (CFI/CFII/MEI), seaplane and helicopter.

Davis earned a Master of Business Administration degree and a Master of Science degree in aerospace engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in physics from the University of the South, graduating summa cum laude.
