Burak Cankaya

Biography

Dr. Cankaya is an Assistant Professor in the Worldwide College of Business, where he took a major role in building the B.S. in Business Analytics degree. This degree program promotes open education by being both textbook requirement-free and based around open-source software. He was a Sr. Operations Research Analyst at NetJets and has previous industry experience in the Transportation and Energy industries with A-level scientific publications and presentations in Aviation Analytics, Operations Research, and Data Science fields. He has received grants from Google, the Department of Transportation, and Embry-Riddle, and awards from INFORMS, ERAU WW COB 2022 Faculty of the Year, and 2020 COB Faculty of the Year in Research.
