Description
Many students across the U.S. find themselves with the tough decision of choosing between buying textbooks or food. This can cause students additional financial, physical, and mental stress. What does the comparison between food versus textbooks look like, though.
The following food items were chosen because of their popularity with ERAU students, college students in general, and to offer a range of price options. While some of the items may not be as nutritious or could be considered a splurge, they might offer a student comfort in the form of a tasty snack, caffeine, or easy calories.
Question: How many Maruchan Instant Lunch Ramen Cup, Starbucks Grande Iced Shaken Espresso, or Chick-Fil-A Sandwiches could you buy with the amount of money that U.S. students spends, on average, on textbooks each semester?
Rules and Regulations:
The first person to guess closest to the item amount, using a whole number, will win for each category. Therefore, it is possible to win one category or all three. The winner will be announced via social media on 3/8/24. Winners will receive a $10 gift card to the ERAU Bookstore for each category won.
