What were you doing on 9/11? (Or, What was your interviewee doing on 9/11?)
LaGuardia Airport in New York City. I was managing the airport and the response to the attack.
How did 9/11 affect you personally and or professionally?
It had significant effects on the delays to the rebuilding of the airport at that time. I lost friends in the attack, and it impacted budgets and operations for years afterward.
What do you want future generations of professionals, particularly those going into your field, to know about 9/11?
You need to be ready for events that you cannot even imagine that you had prepared in your emergency plan.
