Description
Last year the President signed into law a comprehensive update to the Commercial Space Launch Act. The update includes several provisions that have the potential to transform the commercial space industry such as by paving the way to launch government astronauts on commercial vehicles and granting companies rights to certain resources mined in space. The law also requires Federal agencies across the government to work together with industry on a range of emerging commercial space issues that will set the stage for another major legislative effort. This panel will discuss the implications of the new law as well as consider other legislative issues affecting the space industry
