Bio
Carlos Alberto Castro is currently the project manager for the Next-Generation Applied Research (NEAR) laboratory at ERAU, Daytona Beach, FL. He received a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical Engineering from I.U.P.F.A.N (Armed Forces University) of Maracay, Venezuela and worked as a Component Control Manager and Maintenance Representative for ASERCA airlines in Venezuela. Mr. Castro received his Master Degree in Aeronautical Science, with a Management and Safety Specialization, and joined the ERAU NEAR laboratory team in 2003 as a simulation analyst. He specializes in the Total Airspace and Airport Modeler (TAAM) simulation software. His duties include project lead and simulation support for a variety of internal and external projects. He also is a simulation specialist for software such as TARGETS, SDAT, and TAAM. He is also an Airport Planning and Design instructor for the College of Business at ERAU.
