Bio
Dr. Tinoco is currently an associate professor at ERAU, Daytona Beach, FL. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Systems and Sciences Engineering, a Master in International Business, and Ph.D. in Business Administration, specializing in strategy. She has over 18 years of experience as a systems engineer, project lead and technical manager in the US defense industry, working for the Lockheed Martin Corporation and the Northrop-Grumman Corporation. She has been involved in research efforts with NASA Kennedy Space Center on establishing public-private and public-public partnerships as the organization integrates commercial space programs into their strategic plans. Further, she was a contributing university team member with NextGen on the FAA Air Traffic Organization (ATO) Commercial Space Integration Strategic Plan task initiatives. Her research work with Dr. Chunyan Yu on emerging spaceport business models was recently presented at SIRIUS (Space) Research Conference in Toulouse, France and at the Air Transport Research Society (ATRS) conference in Rhodes, Greece. She is an active panel member with the National Academies of Science (NAS) Airport Cooperative Research Program (ACRP), particularly on projects involving airport operations, optimization simulations, and consortiums and has published in numerous journals and proceedings.
