Presentation Description/Abstract
Engines and alternative fuels definitely play a big role when we talk about sustainability; what people don’t think of is that the aircraft cabin itself is also becoming an important space for environmental change. Every flight offers hundreds of small choices that can make a big difference: separating recyclables, reducing plastic use, managing catering waste and using lighter, more efficient service items. Onboard, airlines are introducing practical initiatives that passengers and crew interact with every day and these are daily actions carried out by crew members who care about the planet as much as their passengers’ comfort.
This presentation takes viewers behind the galley curtain to explore how cabin crews contribute to a greener sky. It also highlights how passenger awareness and cooperation can amplify these efforts. My project looks at how the cabin is evolving into a sustainability platform proving that meaningful change often begins in the aisle, not just the engine.
