Session 4: TSA - Disruptive Individuals at the Checkpoint

Presenter Information

Fred Stein

Synopsis

TSA takes a multi-pronged approach to the potential for disruptive individuals at the checkpoint. We try to prevent the passengers from becoming upset in the first place. We try to diffuse the situation when an individual becomes upset at the checkpoint. If despite our best efforts, an individual becomes sufficiently disruptive to interfere with the screening process, then we have both civil enforcement and criminal enforcement tools to employ in response.
