RAF cadet Roger Crosskey was killed in a plane crash on January 20, 1942, while training to be a pilot at 5BFTS. He is buried in the Commonwealth War Graves Commission British Plot. at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Arcadia. This is an account of the accident, written in 1974 or 1975, in which LAC Crosskey lost his life.
