Abstract

The Internet of Things (IoT) is a set of interconnected networks and integrated devices capable of collecting and transmitting data without any human interaction over multiple specified wireless networks. IoT applications in people’s daily life include smart wearables, smart health monitoring, smart devices, traffic monitoring, robots etc.

Given the complexity of systems, there are many ways for them to fail. We are losing control of our lives and actual performance - our lives will be completely controlled and dependent on technology.

The abuse and overuse of the Internet and technology makes people less smart and unintelligent because they rely heavily on smart devices, multitudes sources of information from internet instead of thinking, performing, and doing physical work. This may lead to more depressed life, less balanced or focused and a decrease in human evolvement from simple to complex. It can lead to an era of low-minded and intelligently challenged individuals, unable to think or take a decision using their brains, without help from IoT. It can also increase the high rise of stress and depression in individuals who can function only if exposed to IoT and thus a reduced quality of life. When brain stops thinking and focus always on processing only given information, it stucks and damages.

This research will focus on building a smart device called TIoThI (Tracker of Internet of things in Human intelligence) to collect and measure the interference of IoT in daily normal life. The device features include a software that will automatically collect, and digest information processed through people’s smart devices. The device will also serve to study and map that information to track people’s relevant behavior linked to any information collected in the device throughout a period of time. Will there be a common behavior linked to a particular set of information coming from IoT? How this does affect the human mindset and people abilities in thinking, solving problems and balancing life?

Briefly, this device will serve for the study of average people processing of information through IoT, how the mind processes, behaves, and uses that information in a daily basis and how intelligence is affected and impacted over the period of time. Not to mention part or all of information people are processing and using nowadays come from IoT. We don’t know the level of human intelligence nowadays and what are we capable of without IoT.

Internet of things (IoT) interference in high level performance, human intelligence, and health
