Abstract
The Democratic performance in Florida among voters regressed in the 2016-2018 election cycle. A majority of the regression was caused by the low turnout of Hispanic voters in the southern sector of Florida. The Florida Democratic Party teamed up with students at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University on a research project that aims to develop an algorithm to analyze and predict Hispanic sub-ethnicity groups Democratic performance. Using Additional Rule of Probability, the probability of a specific persons sub-ethnicity based on the origin of their last name and zip code, is able to be calculated. This was further developed by adding certain weights to specific categories and by testing the data to known information.
