Abstract

Research questions:

To what extent does incivility affect the motivation and productivity of employees using Rademacher Geräte Elektronik GmbH as the exemplified company?

Theoretical Framework:

Rademacher Geräte Elektronik GmbH, a small business and of the largest producers in electronic items for shutter and jalousie in Germany with exports to various countries in the European Union. The headquarter is in Rhede, Germany and currently the company has more than 200 employees.

I am planning to analyze how incivility is affecting the employees ‘productivity and motivation by doing own interview questions and questionnaires. Furthermore, I will do a behavior routine analyze to compare their behavior and attitude when the employees are exposed to civility and will compare that with the results of incivility. Additionally, I will use the results of the Ted Talk we watched in class as my fundamental sources to either show that the findings are accurate or inaccurate. I will also use them to support and highlight my analysis part.

Methodology:

Interview questions and observations will help me to gain information about their motivation and productivity as my fundamental resources to analyze the affects of incivility.Behavioral routine analysis will help me to see their normal routine which I can therefore use how civility and incivility affect their normal routine behavior, productivity and motivation.

Conclusion:

Work incivility affects employees' motivation but goes far beyond it and damages one's personal cognitive competencies as well.
