Day 2 - A3: Airspace & Air Traffic: Eric Mueller
Eric Mueller is an Airspace Engineer at Joby Aviation, where he has worked since 2021. He integrates concepts, algorithms, and technologies that allow for the safe operation of aerial ridesharing aircraft, unmanned aircraft systems (UAS), traditional and new airspace entrants in the National Airspace System (NAS) and evaluates them using analysis, simulation and flight test. He employs sound engineering judgment to minimize risk and maximize the impact of technology and research outcomes. Eric previously worked for NASA, Uber and FEMA. He has an MSE in Aerospace Engineering and a Ph.D. in Aerospace, Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, both from Stanford University.
