B2: Florida's Aerial Network Entry Points and its Economic Impact: Andrew Bennett
Andrew H. Bennett, C.M. is an aviation executive with more than 10 years of progressive leadership experience in public-use general aviation airports. Originally from Calhoun, Georgia, Andrew developed an interest in aviation at age 15, earned his FAA Private Pilot License at 18, and worked his way through college at Tom B. David Airport in his hometown. After graduating from Kennesaw State University and beginning his career in public accounting with KPMG LLP, Andrew and his wife relocated to Collier County, Florida, in July 2016, where he joined the Collier County Airport Authority as Operations Manager. In January 2021, Andrew was promoted to Executive Manager, overseeing fixed-base operation services, airport operations, capital improvement planning and project management, and economic development for Marco Island Executive Airport, Immokalee Regional Airport, and Everglades Airpark. He later advanced to Deputy Director of the Sebring Airport Authority, where he helps lead strategic, operational, financial, and capital program functions for Sebring Regional Airport. Andrew holds the AAAE Certified Member designation, AAAE ACE – Part 139 Airfield Operations certification and has been recognized by Airport Business Magazine as a 2022 Top 40 Under 40 honoree.
