On Friday, April 8th, 2016, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University will host the 10th annual Human Factors and Applied Psychology (HFAP) student conference at the Henderson Welcome Center on Embry-Riddle's campus in Daytona Beach, Florida. The abstract submission deadline is Friday, February 12th, 2016. This year’s keynote speaker is Robert Allen, Human Factors & Ergonomics Specialist at Walt Disney World, providing expertise/guidance in Human Factors/Ergonomics-related issues throughout Disney’s Parks & Resorts segment. We will also have an alumni panel so attendees can hear from, and ask questions of, recent graduates now working in the field.
Keynote Robert Allen:
Robert C. Allen is a Human Factors and Ergonomics Specialist for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, globally. His responsibilities include applying human factors and ergonomic analyses to Guest and Cast Member safety issues, developing or updating internal human factors and ergonomics standards, providing guidance to design engineers, and assisting with the application of best practices throughout the Parks and Resorts environment.
Robert has a PhD in human factors and cognitive psychology from the University of Central Florida and is a CPE. Previous work environments included NAVAIR-Orlando, with a focus on human-computer interaction and usability as applied to the Simulation and Training environment and the Army Research Institute working in the area of virtual reality and training.
