Abstract/Description

Native Impact finds its philosophical underpinnings in not only NASA’s desire to aid such indigenous populations but in the NASA NE Space Grant’s efforts to serve the same people for the same reason. To further this effort, the NASA NE Space Grant funded faculty outreach and institutional enhancement grants, hosted workshops for teachers, sponsored field trips for students, and engaged in numerous activities to enhance the viability of the program. Additional funding and support came from other agencies such as Established Programs to Stimulate Competitive Research (EPSCoR), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the US Department of Agriculture (USDA), and the Aerospace States Association (ASA).
