Chapter 1
Natural convection heat transfer from circular cylinders in quiescent environments is a subject which has been studied extensively. Although a well-established topic, to the best knowledge of the author no single source of reference is found for natural convection from circular cylinders for varying orientations (horizontal, vertical, and inclined). This book attempts to be a reference for Nusselt number correlations for circular cylinders of all inclinations including horizontal and vertical.
