Abstract
There are many research needs that have yet to be met to enable stronger and safer space traffic. Research into various aspects of space traffic can be accomplished thorugh federal research efforts, academic exploration, and industry innovation. While there are a number of pure research efforts underway, applied research to answer specific space traffic questions offer the most promising improvements to safety processes and systems. The Space Traffic Research presentation covers some of the applied research questions that still require attention.
