Abstract/Description
This policy brief examines vulnerabilities to ASAT weapons and their threatening effects on dual-use satellites. The brief highlights the currently lacking legal framework regarding ASAT weapons and proposes implementing a joint U.S.-Japan framework to coordinate legislation and enforce mandatory cybersecurity and resilience standards for dual-use satellite operations.
